Compensation & Benefits
  • Good faith base annual salary range: $80,000 - $130,000.
  • Benefits: medical, dental, vision insurance; 401(k), disability, life insurance, and Paid Time Off (PTO).
Work Schedule

Hybrid schedule:
Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays in-office; optional remote Mondays and Fridays.

Essential Responsibilities
  • Accurately complete work assigned by multiple attorneys.
  • Assist with the preparation of provisional, non‑provisional, and design patent applications, and file such applications in the US Patent and Trademark Office and WIPO; maintain proficiency with USPTO Patent Center.
  • Prepare and file responses to Office Actions, assignments, and other documents with the USPTO.
  • Prepare documentation for filing patent applications in other countries.
  • Work with attorneys to ensure all due dates are met in advance.
  • Assist attorneys and clients in managing patent portfolios and matters.
  • Establish and maintain electronic files according to firm policies, using the firm’s record protocol procedures and document management system.
  • Comply with and understand firm operations, policies, and procedures.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned; proactively balance multiple work demands, take personal responsibility for quality and timeliness, and maintain client and firm confidentiality.
Qualifications
  • A high school diploma or equivalent; 4‑year college degree preferred.
  • Five years of patent prosecution experience.
  • In‑depth understanding and advanced proficiency of task‑specific patent prosecution concepts, procedures, and best practices.
  • Knowledge of trademark filing procedures in the USPTO is a plus.
  • Excellent organizational, verbal, written communication, analytical, planning, and proofreading skills.
  • Detail‑oriented, efficient, and reliable.
  • Maintains a "can do" attitude, patience, and a positive team‑player mentality.
  • Ability to work independently, with a team, and in a demanding, fast‑paced environment.
  • Ability to organize, prioritize, and handle multiple projects and shift priorities simultaneously.
  • Works effectively with various types of clients.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams), iManage, and Adobe.
