We are seeking a detail‑oriented and motivated Paralegal to join our legal team in New York City. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of legal procedures and documentation, assisting attorneys in preparing for hearings, trials, and client meetings.

💼 Role: Paralegal

• Be trained in the use of the Insurance Frauds Bureau's case management system and use it to process tips and information from various sources regarding insurance fraud and other criminal activities.
• Conduct preliminary information gathering on intake complaints, collect relevant evidentiary records and documents, write detailed intake reports, and enter information in the fraud case management system.
• Address complaints transmitted by phone calls, voicemails, and emails.
• Liaise with complainants, IFB criminal investigators and personnel from law enforcement, government agencies, and insurance companies, and prepare correspondence, including contact letters and related forms.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Knowledge of basic legal processes, terminology and forms.
• Legal research techniques, ability to read, understand and interpret laws, legal documents and other written material.

• Proof of eligibility to work in NYS.
• A Bachelor's Degree.
• Paralegal Certificate.
• One year of full-time legal or paralegal work experience with the same employer.
