Location: New York

Our client is a leading law firm with offices across the country. They are seeking a Legal Assistant to join their Bankruptcy practice. The position is hybrid and based 3 out of 5 days per week at their office in Midtown, Manhattan
. Experience in bankruptcy law is mandatory
.

Job Details
  • General secretarial duties such as answering the telephone, taking messages, using office equipment, processing mail, etc.
  • Heavy calendar management
  • Travel Management (booking flights, accommodations, ground transportation, itineraries, etc.)
  • Draft complex correspondence and documents
  • Manage emails as permitted by attorney
  • High level of involvement with attorney billing
  • Create marketing materials as needed
  • Anticipate needs of attorneys
  • Participate in firm training opportunities
  • Assist and advise junior peers in handling emergency or urgent calls and assignments
  • Perform other duties as required
  • Skills and Qualifications
  • 8+ years’ Senior Legal Secretary experience in a large/mid-size law firm
  • 1-2 years’ experience in Bankruptcy practice group
  • Strong computer skills (typing 55 wpm, Microsoft Office Suite, docketing software, CRM, etc.)
  • Outstanding customer/client service skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to handle sensitive information and stressful situations
  • Exceptional time management, attention to detail, and accuracy
  • Knowledge of legal terminology, syntax, formatting, and content
  • Ability to collaborate and work independently
  • Salary Range: $90,000 – 110,000 annually, based on experience.
