Junior Real Estate Associate AttorneyLocation:

Our client, an AmLaw 100 global law firm, is seeking a talented Junior Associate Attorney to join its thriving Real Estate Practice Group in New York. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated attorney to work within a collaborative team of over 80 real estate attorneys across the country, advising on complex, high-value transactions that shape the commercial real estate landscape.
Profile
- JD from a top‑tier law school with an excellent academic record
- Active Bar Admission in New York, in good standing
- 2+ years of substantive real estate transactional experience in debt and/or equity transactions
- Experience representing lenders and/or borrowers in real estate financings, acquisitions, dispositions, development projects, leasing, and joint ventures
- Prior experience at a large law firm or sophisticated real estate practice is highly preferred
- Strong drafting, negotiation, and communication skills with a high attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines within a fast‑paced, team‑oriented environment
- Collaborative mindset, professionalism, and enthusiasm for client service are essential
- Support senior attorneys in structuring, drafting, and negotiating a wide variety of real estate transactions, including financing, acquisition, development, and joint venture matters
- Conduct due diligence and coordinate closing processes for complex real estate deals
- Prepare and review key transactional documents such as loan agreements, purchase and sale agreements, leases, and joint venture agreements
- Advise clients on real estate and financing matters, delivering practical, business‑oriented guidance
- Collaborate across practice groups, including corporate and tax, to deliver comprehensive solutions for clients’ real estate projects
- Develop strong working relationships with clients and internal stakeholders through responsiveness and high‑quality work
- Competitive Compensation:
Annual base salary is expected to range from $235,000 – $260,000, depending on experience, qualifications, and market factors - Discretionary bonus opportunities are also available
