Overview

Our client is a New York City real estate law firm seeking a trial attorney to join its Landlord-Tenant Practice Group. The candidate should have a minimum of 7 years of landlord-tenant resolution experience and demonstrable contemporaneous experience in drafting predicate notices, pleadings, motions, complex settlement agreements, and in taking and defending depositions. Strong negotiating skills and excellent computer and research skills are necessary.

Responsibilities
  • Provide landlord-tenant litigation and resolution services for the firm’s clients.
  • Draft predicate notices, pleadings, motions, and complex settlement agreements.
  • Take and defend depositions; participate in negotiations and strategy planning.
  • Contribute to case management and legal research to support litigation.
Qualifications
  • Minimum 7 years of landlord-tenant resolution experience.
  • Experience drafting predicate notices, pleadings, motions, complex settlement agreements.
  • Experience taking and defending depositions.
  • Strong negotiating skills.

Every attorney receives a 1/3 of the hours billed by that attorney and then collected by the firm (in addition to 20% bonuses paid to the attorney for introducing a client to the firm).
