Real Estate Finance Associate

Our client is seeking a talented and motivated Real Estate Finance Associate with 2–3 years of experience to join their New York office. This role is well suited for an associate with a strong foundation in commercial real estate finance who is eager to work on sophisticated lending transactions involving a broad range of institutional and alternative lenders. The position offers hands‑on responsibility, meaningful client interaction, and the opportunity to further develop technical expertise within a collaborative, high‑performing team.

Base pay range
: $235,000 – $260,000 per year.

• Represent commercial and investment banks, insurance companies, debt funds, and other regulated and non‑regulated lenders in commercial real estate finance transactions.
• Support the origination and closing of loans secured by commercial properties.
• Conduct and review title, survey, lease, and other real estate diligence materials.
• Draft, review, and negotiate loan documents and related transaction materials.
• Assist with financings involving mezzanine loans, loan syndications, and commercial mortgage loan securitizations, as applicable.
• Collaborate closely with partners and senior associates to manage transactions efficiently and deliver high‑quality client service.

• 2–3 years of substantive experience in commercial real estate finance at a law firm or comparable legal environment.
• Experience representing lenders in financings of commercial properties.
• Familiarity with title, survey, lease, and other commercial real estate diligence processes.
• Exposure to mezzanine loans, CMBS, or loan syndication transactions is a plus.
• Strong academic credentials and excellent legal writing and analytical skills.
• Ability to manage multiple matters in a fast‑paced, deadline‑driven environment.
• Competitive base salary, anticipated to range from $235,000 to $260,000, depending on experience and qualifications.
