Hedge Fund Formation Associate – 2+ Years Experience

An elite corporate law practice is seeking an experienced associate to join its market‑leading Hedge Fund Formation team.

This is a unique opportunity to work alongside top‑tier attorneys on complex fund launches for both institutional and emerging managers, while gaining unmatched exposure to cutting‑edge structures and sophisticated clients.

• Act as part of the high‑impact team, advising clients on the formation, structuring, and launch of hedge funds across a range of strategies and asset classes.
• Draft and negotiate key fund documents including Private Placement Memoranda, Limited Partnership Agreements, Investment Management Agreements, Subscription Documents, Side Letters, and SMA Agreements. Senior associates will also lead negotiations and advise on investor‑side matters, and those with experience in seed deals, hybrid funds, or closed‑end funds will find room to leverage and expand that knowledge.

• At least 2 years dedicated hedge fund formation experience.
• Experience drafting core fund documents and a solid understanding of the U.S. regulatory framework governing hedge funds.
• Thrives in fast‑paced, high‑expectation environments with collaborative teams and sophisticated clients.
• Proactive, precise, growth‑oriented, seeking mentorship, visibility, and increasing responsibility.
• Admission to the New York Bar (or eligibility to waive in) required.

Base salary starts at $235,000, with competitive benefits and performance‑based bonuses.
