Job Description
Job SummaryWill handle general business contract review and drafting; assist with corporate matters and transactions; assist with data protection, privacy and artificial intelligence laws and agreements; assist with employment matters; and handle the legal review of marketing materials globally.
Job Duties- General commercial/vendor contract review, drafting, negotiation and identifying and advising business functions of material issues and considerations.
- Assist with corporate matters and transactions.
- Monitor and assist with data protection, privacy and artificial intelligence laws, agreements and requests.
- Oversee the legal review of press releases, marketing materials and other public disclosures.
- Assist with employment matters and monitor relevant laws.
- Assist with corporate governance and compliance requirements, as needed.
- Conduct legal research and analysis; drafting legal memoranda.
- Handle special projects as assigned.
- 4+ years of corporate law experience with a large New York law firm, corporate legal department or other professional services firm.
- Member of the New York State Bar.
- Ability to independently negotiate and draft general business contracts.
- Excellent drafting and negotiation skills.
- Experience in the insurance and reinsurance industry a plus.
- Experience with litigation or employment disputes a plus.
- Excellent communication skills in all media.
- Must have strong interpersonal skills and have the ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituents in a diverse organization.
- Capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously.
- Capable of working independently and in a team environment.
$180,000 - $225,000
The annualized base pay range is a broad range based on analysis of similar positions in the market. The actual base pay for the position may be above or below the listed range and determined by a number of considerations, including but not limited to complexity, location, and scope of the role, along with experience, skills, education, training, and other conditions of employment.
Base salary represents one component of Allied World’s comprehensive total reward package, which may also include annual incentive compensation rewards.
