Position OverviewThe firm is seeking a litigation associate with exceptional legal writing skills, particularly in pharmaceutical and medical device matters involving Daubert and Rule 702 motion practice
. This position for candidates licensed in New York
.
- Communicate directly with clients and provide strategic legal support
- Supervise and mentor junior associates
- Collaborate closely with expert witnesses
- Assist with fact development and take and defend depositions
- Draft and review discovery responses, briefs, motions, and memoranda
- Contribute to overall case strategy and litigation planning
Education
- Juris Doctor (JD) from a nationally recognized law school
- Strong academic credentials
Bar Admission
- Admission to practice in the jurisdiction of the office applied for
- New York bar admission strongly preferred
Experience
- Minimum of 3 years of litigation experience
, ideally at an AmLaw 100 firm - Extensive experience drafting complex briefs, including Rule 702 and Daubert motions
- Demonstrated background in products liability litigation
- Experience with pharmaceutical and medical device matters is a plus
- Exceptional analytical and legal writing skills
- Strong attention to detail and sound business judgment
- Excellent organizational and project management abilities
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Strategic, conceptual, and problem‑solving mindset
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
- Leadership, mentoring, and supervisory capabilities
- Persuasive communication and client‑facing confidence
Attorneys in this role are expected to:
- Deliver timely, accurate, and high‑quality work product
- Effectively communicate with clients, colleagues, and third parties

- Participate in virtual and in‑person meetings as needed
- Adapt to evolving priorities and take on additional responsibilities
Physical Requirements
- Hybrid work schedule
, with regular in‑office presence and flexibility for remote work - Primarily sedentary role involving extended computer use
- Occasional lifting or movement of up to 10 pounds
- Expected hiring range: $250,000–$370,000 (commensurate with geographic market and experience)
