Base Pay Range

The JobMKCI is seeking a Litigation Paralegal to join our New York City Litigation team. Ideal candidates will have a minimum of five years of experience as a litigation paralegal and a strong understanding of legal procedures and documentation.
Responsibilities- Assist attorneys in all phases of litigation, including discovery, trial preparation, and trial.
- Perform general administrative duties including coordination of prints, scans, and duplicating projects.
- Coordinate new matter intake process and initiate conflicts checks.
- Perform other related duties, special projects, and assignments as required.
- Schedule and coordinate appointments, meetings, and court dates.
- Draft and file legal documents, including motions, pleadings, and subpoenas.
- Conduct legal research and gather relevant information for cases.
- Organize and maintain case files, documents, and medical records.
- Work with litigation team to ensure cases are properly prepared and deadlines are met.
- Communicate with clients, witnesses, and experts.
- Prepare deposition and trial exhibits.
- Prior experience working with an active trial litigation team and/or managing a large case load and cases involving numerous defendants or multi-district litigation preferred.
- Minimum of five years of experience as a litigation paralegal.
- Paralegal certification or degree in paralegal studies preferred.
- Strong knowledge of litigation processes and legal documentation.
- Proficient in legal research and legal software.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
- Ability to work independently as well as with others.
