Role SummaryThe Regulatory Counsel, Bank Regulatory will provide legal advice and strategy on complex bank regulatory, trust, and stablecoin matters to business leaders within Payoneer. The position is based in New York and reports to the Global Regulatory Counsel.
What you’ll do- Provide legal advice to assist Payoneer in developing and managing significant and complex bank regulatory matters.
- Support Payoneer in building and maintaining good working relationships with external stakeholders, such as U.S. banking regulators and government agencies.
- Research, analyze, and determine the effects of rapidly evolving banking regulations at the federal and state level, staying current on issues and upcoming regulatory changes that may impact Payoneer’s strategic goals.
- Liaise and work with outside counsel.
- Support business, finance, treasury and other teams with the development of new services, fostering strong relationships across multiple functional areas.
- Fully qualified lawyer with excellent academic credentials, qualified in the United States and with at least five years of post‑admission experience practicing as an attorney at a reputable law firm or relevant in‑house legal department.
- Experience in the financial services and banking industry is required.
- Experience working directly with bank regulators and regulatory authorities is an advantage but not strictly required.
- Ability to evaluate factual situations, identify legal issues, analyze statutes and regulations, and recommend appropriate courses of action.
- Innovative mindset with comfort working on new technologies and areas with evolving regulatory clarity.
- Ability to provide practical legal advice and recommendations to internal stakeholders on matters of significant importance to the company.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
- Ability to handle a diverse set of issues and provide a high level of service to internal customers in a friendly and professional manner.
- Open communicator with skill in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships at all levels of the organization.

In accordance with New York City Law, the annual base salary range for this position is $200,000 – $220,000. The position is eligible for health insurance, disability insurance, life insurance, 401(k) plan, paid time off, and sick (and where applicable safe) leave. This role is eligible for a year‑end discretionary bonus.
