Attorney | Medical Malpractice Defense | Hybrid

An established litigation practice is seeking an Appellate Attorney with at least 4 years of direct appellate experience for its Midtown Manhattan office. The position offers a hybrid schedule of three days in-office and two days remote, with Mondays in-office.

• This opportunity is designed for an attorney who wants to build a long-term career in appellate practice. The culture emphasizes mentorship, coaching, tenure, and internal growth, with experienced attorneys providing guidance to help develop appellate advocacy and brief-writing skills over time.
• You’ll also have a hybrid work arrangement, $150,000–$170,000 base compensation based on experience, plus bonus and benefits, and 21–26 days of PTO annually based on tenure, along with 11 paid holidays.

• Draft appellants’ and respondents’ briefs
• Compile records or appendices on appeal when representing the appellant
• Appear for oral argument
• Assist with summary judgment and post-trial motions
• Provide litigation strategy and support during trials

• J.D. from an accredited law school
• New York Bar admission at the time of interview and good standing
• Minimum 4 years of direct appellate experience
• Strong appellate brief-writing and oral advocacy skills
• Experience compiling records or appendices on appeal
• Ability to meet a 1,650 annual billable-hour requirement
