Precipart, located in Farmingdale, NY, is seeking a dynamic Director of Supply Chain to lead and optimize all supply chain functions from procurement and production planning to inventory management, logistics, and supplier development across the organization. The Director of Supply Chain will enable stepwise function growth, optimize working capital, and develop robust systems and talent to scale supply chain performance in alignment with Precipart’s mission to Engineer Possible.
EssentialFunctions
- Develop and lead end-to-end supply chain strategy, aligned with operational, quality, and financial goals.
- Own and drive performance in procurement, production planning, material planning, inventory management, and logistics.
- Drive key Planning, Procurement and Logistics business process to attain top of class performance and capability maturity levels.
- Collaborate with Global Procurement to build and maintain a resilient, cost-effective, and quality-focused global supply base while assuring local site BOM, MRO and Equipment purchase support meets expectations.
- Lead the implementation and continuous improvement of ERP-driven MRP systems (Infor LN preferred).
- Develop and manage key supply chain KPIs including OTIF, inventory turns, supplier OTD, PPV, and forecast accuracy.
- Drive SIOP (Sales, Inventory, and Operations Planning) process to ensure supply alignment with demand.
- Partner with Engineering, Quality, and Program Management to support seamless NPI and design transfer.
- Lead cross-functional initiatives to mitigate supply risk, reduce lead times, and increase planning accuracy.
- Support strategic make-buy decisions and dual-sourcing programs in collaboration with site operations.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory, quality system, and ethical sourcing standards.
- Lead a multi-disciplinary supply chain team including planning, buyers, and in/outbound logistics specialists.
- Build a high-performing, collaborative culture centered on Precipart’s values.
- Coach and develop managers and high-potential team members to strengthen the leadership pipeline.
- Act as the supply chain voice in site leadership and executive forums.
- Exemplify the relentless pursuit of satisfying customer needs and delivering on stakeholder commitments.
- Support team growth through structured goal setting, feedback, and development planning.
- Promote cross-training and talent mobility across the supply chain function.
- Model servant leadership through transparency, accountability, and inclusive decision-making.
- Responsible for conforming with the company’s quality management system requirements, as well as contributing to its overall effectiveness, and the ultimate goals of customer satisfaction, product compliance and ethical practices/behavior.
- Personnel needs identification, hiring and termination recommendations, leadership, coaching/training, performance management, task assignment, policy dissemination, disciplinary action/documentation to personnel files, job description updates, etc.
- Establish department goals, plan and achieve department activities & objectives, analyze variances-initiate corrective actions, problem resolution, propose/support/implement new & improved approaches/methods, etc.
- Guide / Coach key department staff to promote development for the purpose of individual’s personal growth, improved decision making and potential succession planning identification in support of company objectives and group goals.

- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or Business;
Master’s or APICS certification preferred - 10+ years of progressive experience in supply chain leadership roles in precision or regulated manufacturing
