PDS Tech Commercial is seeking a talented and results-driven Buyer/Procurement Analyst to join a premier aviation organization in Stratford, CT. In this impactful role, you'll be at the center of critical procurement activities, helping secure the materials, equipment, and services needed to support advanced aviation programs.

What You'll DoAs a Buyer/Procurement Analyst, you'll play a key role in optimizing procurement operations and ensuring a reliable supply chain by:
- Sourcing, negotiating, and purchasing electrical components, wire and cable, machinery, equipment, tools, raw materials, packaging materials, parts, services, and supplies.
- Analyzing statistical and market data to establish pricing objectives and identify purchasing opportunities.
- Monitoring supplier performance to ensure quality, delivery, cost, and compliance expectations are met.
- Reviewing supplier proposals and negotiating favorable terms and pricing.
- Evaluating, selecting, and recommending suppliers based on business requirements.
- Following up on purchase orders and verifying delivery schedules and commitments.
- Approving payments and maintaining procurement records and documentation.
- Preparing Requests for Proposals (RFPs), bid packages, and supplier evaluations when required.
- Negotiating and coordinating subcontract modifications, additions, and changes.
- Identifying opportunities to leverage purchasing power and drive cost efficiencies.
- Tracking industry pricing trends and manufacturing process developments.
- Collaborating with internal stakeholders, customers, suppliers, and cross-functional teams to support business objectives.
- Supporting special procurement projects and initiatives as needed.
- Traveling occasionally to support supplier relationships and business requirements.
Required Qualifications
- Excellent verbal, written, and organizational skills.
- Proven ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
- Strong project management capabilities.
- Experience working with procurement, purchasing, or supply chain systems.
- Self-motivated with a demonstrated sense of urgency, accountability, and ownership.
- Ability to thrive both independently and in a collaborative team environment.
- Advanced communication and customer-service skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Experience negotiating with suppliers and managing vendor relationships.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel.
- Experience with in aerospace, aviation, manufacturing, or other highly regulated industries.
- Familiarity with supplier performance metrics and strategic sourcing methodologies.
- Experience preparing RFPs, bid packages, and contract documentation.
- Knowledge of procurement best practices, cost analysis, and supply chain management.
- Experience using ERP, MRP, SAP, Oracle, or similar procurement platforms.
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Finance, Operations, or a related field.
