Job Description SummaryMultifamily Property Managers are responsible for maintaining our communities to a market-ready standard, always ensuring high-level of service. Property Managers are also responsible for motivating high-performing teams to maximize the performance of the property.
Job DescriptionESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES:
- Ensure the smooth operation of the community in a fast-paced environment, overseeing maintenance, capital improvements, lease administration, budgeting, forecasting, reporting, collections, evictions, vacancy management, marketing, lease renewals, service contracts, expense control, and audits.
- Provide superior customer service and communication to residents and prospects to enhance satisfaction, increase renewals, revenue, reputation, and profitability. Complete lease and renewal paperwork to company standards.
- Track and evaluate advertising and client traffic.
- Develop, mentor, lead, and manage a high-performing, cohesive team including leasing, customer service, maintenance, and management personnel to maximize engagement and minimize turnover.
- Drive revenue through analysis of competition and development of creative marketing programs.
- Lead by example, embodying Cushman & Wakefield’s mission to be the best national management company.
- Supervise day-to-day operations of the on-site team, ensuring policy and procedure adherence.
- Maintain effective staff through interviewing, hiring, and coaching.
- Manage residents' files according to company standards.
- Foster a positive living environment through prompt conflict resolution and follow-up.
- Manage community budget and finances.
- Coordinate with leasing staff to meet leasing and marketing goals.
- Effective communication and customer service skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and internet navigation
- Office, bookkeeping, and sales skills with excellent communication
- Ability to set goals and improve staff performance
- Team management skills
- Perform other related duties as required
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred
- Real Estate License preferred
- 3+ years of on-site Multifamily Property Management experience
- Knowledge of local New Rochelle / NY law and luxury multifamily market
- Experience with Yardi software
This role operates in a professional office environment, requiring the use of standard office equipment and travel as needed.
PHYSICAL DEMANDSMust be able to stand, walk, ascend/descend stairs, and lift objects up to 25 pounds. Travel up to 15% may be required.
