IT Project Manager
Our client, a top-tier legal discovery and managed services provider, is currently seeking a talented e‑Discovery Project Manager. The Project Manager must be located in one of the following states:
Illinois, New Jersey, New York, California, Florida, Texas, South Carolina, Washington, D.C., Maryland, Pennsylvania, Connecticut, or Georgia.
As the client-facing primary point of contact for client matters, the Project Manager is involved in all aspects of project engagements from initial setup to completion, ensuring clients’ needs are met and proactively taking all steps to deliver a high-quality level of service. The PM manages the beginning of the Matter Design Process, coordinates resources internally and with outside providers/partners as needed, shepherds client data from department to department, phase to phase, and ensures that all deadlines are met in a timely manner.

Job SummaryAs a client-facing “primary point of contact” for matters, the Project Manager (“PM”) is involved in all aspects of project engagements – from initial setup to case wrap‑up – ensuring client’s general needs are being met and taking all steps possible to ensure clients receive a high‑quality level of service. The PM oversees projects from initial set‑up to delivery of the finished product, with a focus on client relations and communication, and coordinates with various internal departments and third‑party vendors to supplement strategy and overall success.
Summaryof Essential Job Functions
- Onboard and manage various cases.
- Serve as primary point of contact for the case team.
- Work closely with clients to set up projects, including price quotes, job turnaround estimates, and job specifications.
- Continuously track multiple projects and jobs within each department to ensure deadlines are met; work closely with production to ensure proper allocation of resources based on deadlines.
- Serve as a liaison between the company, production, and the client; communicate frequently with clients to troubleshoot issues and provide status updates according to the client’s preference.
- Keep other PMs up to date with enough information so that they can step in at a moment’s notice.
- Maintain current project‑related documentation, including job order, job authorization, client profile, tracking log, client job status summary, Summation/STARS, and labels of upcoming deliveries.
- Utilize the company’s methodology for case management, working with the case team from inception through the resolution of the matter.
- Ensure WBOS tracking requirements are met and that all departments update billing information in a timely manner.
- Satisfy project schedules including production deadlines and data delivery dates.
- Track required information for data received and transitioned to and from clients on all projects.
- Escalate issues raised by Project Coordinators and other departments as necessary.
- Assist Department Directors, Client Directors, and Project Coordinators with gathering information and background used in the preparation of reporting.
- Bachelor’s Degree in computer science, MIS, or equivalent work experience; JD preferred.
- Desired experience in the electronic discovery industry, preferably as a project manager.
- Working knowledge of operations, including document imaging, printing, coding, and electronic data processing.
- RCA preferred.
- Ability to oversee multiple tasks simultaneously and to prioritize appropriately.
- Strong oral and written communication skills to effectively communicate with clients and staff.
- Ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Knowledge of Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Strong Relativity skills.
- Familiarity with e‑Discovery applications, tools, and technologies including Relativity, Microsoft Office Suite, Concordance, among others.
- Networking knowledge and experience with Windows applications and operating environment; experience with hosting platforms such as Relativity, Clearwell, Catalyst, etc.
- Previous management experience, including experience developing budgets and workflow strategies.
Expected salary for this exempt role is up to $135,000, commensurate with experience, training, skills, qualifications, and other market factors.
