RoleWe are seeking a Head of Legal Account Management reporting to the Head of Strategic Account Management & Legal to lead and grow our legal client portfolio. This individual will serve as a player-coach: managing a team of Account Managers while directly overseeing a select group of our most strategic Am Law 100/200 client accounts. The Head of Legal Account Management will set the standard for client engagement, ensuring Octus delivers exceptional value, drives renewals, and expands our footprint within the legal sector.
Key Responsibilities- Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing team of Account Managers serving our legal client base.
- Personally manage and act as executive sponsor for a portfolio of strategic Am Law firm accounts, driving adoption, satisfaction, and retention.
- Build and execute account strategies that deliver revenue growth, including renewals, upsells, and cross-sells.
- Serve as the voice of the client to internal teams, influencing Product, Content, and Marketing roadmaps and messaging.
- Analyze client usage, renewal risk, and pipeline metrics; take proactive steps to mitigate risk and maximize client lifetime value.
- 10+ years of experience in Account Management, Client Success, or Relationship Management, ideally within legal, SaaS, data, or information services sectors.
- 5+ years of experience managing a team, with a proven track record of leading and mentoring Account Managers.
- Deep knowledge of the Am Law 100/200 market, with established senior-level relationships.
- Demonstrated success in managing renewals, expansions, and complex enterprise accounts.
- Data-driven approach with strong analytical and strategic skills.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation abilities.
- Must be based in New York and able to work in the office three days per week.
At Octus, compensation decisions consider experience, skills, location, and business needs. The base salary range estimate for this position is $220,000-$270,000, with additional commission-based compensation. Actual compensation is at Octus’ sole discretion and may vary.
