Valthos is building a platform to support a wide range of stakeholders in government and pharma, with a specific focus on strengthening biodefense programs in the Department of War (DoW).

We are looking for a Head of Operations who can own the entire operational backbone of the company: HR, Finance, Legal & Compliance, and strategic support for GTM. This is one of the most central roles in the company; you will partner directly with the founders to ensure the company runs with excellence and that our team can focus entirely on building.

We are looking for a systems-oriented, detail-obsessed operator who can build and run all internal operations with a founder mindset. You will design processes, own execution, and be the connective tissue across the company. This is a role for someone who loves high-velocity environments, is comfortable with complexity, and holds an extremely high standard for accuracy, organization, and follow-through.

You will manage and eventually build the broader Operations function as the company scales. This role sits directly beneath the founders and is a strong future-COO track.

• Drive financial operations: oversee fundraising workflows, budgeting, forecasting, monthly close, cash management, and spend controls.
• Lead legal & compliance: manage lawyers, contracts, equity/cap table hygiene, state registrations, insurance, and regulatory documentation.
• Support growth & strategic initiatives: track and organize customer-facing materials, coordinate PR/press, and run events/dinners related to hiring and GTM.
• Run the Talent engine: own recruiting operations, candidate experience, onboarding, payroll, benefits, and HR compliance.
• Own day-to-day operations: ensure smooth office operations across locations, manage founder scheduling, vendors, equipment, and internal systems.
