Overview

The Security department is seeking a full-time Assistant Manager to play an important role in the leadership of the department, reporting directly to the Watch Manager. This position is responsible for supervising multiple areas of the department's daytime operations.
Responsibilities- Supervise and assign daily schedules for Museum Attendant Guards. Monitor and supervise all Security staff assigned to floor and access posts. Respond to all emergencies. Assist senior management in the training and discipline of Museum Attendant Guards.
- Directly supervise all new employees during their three-week on-the-job training period, covering all aspects of Museum security operations.
- Ensure the security and safety of visitors and employees. Check fire safety equipment. Submit reports as required. Check the Museum for any safety concerns and report issues to senior management.
- Ensure all incidents are reported to senior management and recorded in a timely and professional manner.
- Identify and solve security issues. Evaluate performance indicators.
- Perform assigned emergency management and evacuation duties.
- Assume special duty assignments as directed by senior management or the Watch Manager. Review Emergency Evaluation procedures with Museum Attendant Guards.
- Maintain a work schedule determined by the operating needs of the assigned watch, including additional hours related to operational needs such as event coverage.
The expected salary range for the Assistant Manager is $64,500/annual - $66,500/annual. Pay will be determined based on several factors, including but not limited to skills, knowledge, training, education, credentials, areas of specialization and depth and scope of experience.
