Location: New York

Launch Math + Science Centers is hiring a Manager of Operations for its Upper West Side Manhattan location. Launch provides toddlers to tweens with inspiring math instruction and STEM‑based classes and camps.

As Manager of Operations you will manage day‑to‑day operations including profit and loss, customer service, hiring/training staff, enrollment process, curriculum delivery, and marketing.

Responsibilities
  • Understand strategic direction and promote the business.
  • Fiscal management of the center, achieve revenue targets, manage labor and expenses.
  • Manage program offerings, scheduling, enrollments, billing and recordkeeping.
  • Sell the program in person, by email, and by phone; generate a steady flow of new enrollments.
  • Participate in local marketing events and foster relationships with local schools and organizations.
  • Strategic planning; evaluate KPIs and implement measures to drive sales, improve team performance and enhance parent satisfaction.
  • Supervise recruitment, training, development and scheduling of instructors; build high‑performing team.
  • Oversee select HR functions, onboarding, payroll processing, compliance.
  • Facilities and inventory management, including STEM kit production and distribution.
  • Ensure highest quality instruction and customer experience; teach and model appropriate interactions.
Requirements
  • Minimum 3+ years of related experience (business management, sales, marketing and/or teaching) with focus on marketing and relationships.
  • Highly organized with ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Strong empathy, tact and diplomacy.
  • Excellent verbal communication and persuasive skills.
  • Ability to analyze/interpret business reports and write business correspondence.
  • Effective problem‑solving and conflict resolution skills.
  • Flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Google Workspace.
  • Bilingual a plus.
  • Business degree preferred; teaching credentials a plus.
