Company overview

A prominent family office is seeking a Family Office Manager to oversee financial and operational activities. The role involves managing family preferences, financial oversight, and supporting investment and philanthropic initiatives.

Job Responsibilities
  • Develop a deep understanding of family preferences and operate as a trusted advocate
  • Manage bill pay, budgeting, and cash reconciliations; potentially implement a bill pay system
  • Liaise with accountants, attorneys, trustees, and other external partners
  • Oversee management of family homes and coordinate domestic staff
  • Work with a personal assistant on errands and logistical needs
  • Consolidate and monitor investment portfolios across asset classes
  • Prepare financial statements, performance reports, and liquidity analyses
  • Coordinate tax planning and compliance with external advisors
  • Track capital calls, distributions, and valuations
  • Support cash-flow management and scenario planning
  • Conduct due diligence on prospective investments
  • Support charitable giving strategies and manage foundation/DAF activity
  • Assist with operations for special projects
  • Help with travel, events, and various personal or family projects
Qualifications
  • Experience in family office management, financial oversight, and investment support
  • Strong understanding of financial statements, budgeting, and cash management
  • Ability to liaise effectively with external partners and manage domestic staff
  • Proficiency in managing investment portfolios and conducting due diligence
  • Experience in supporting philanthropic activities and special projects
Compensation

Salary: $100,000 – $250,000, Plus Bonus
