Our client, a leading healthcare organization committed to providing exceptional patient care and ensuring a safe environment for all, is hiring a Vice President of Security
. This senior leadership role is responsible for setting the strategic vision and overseeing the daily operations of all security functions within the organization. This position ensures the safety of clients, staff, and visitors while safeguarding the organization’s assets and reputation. The VP of Security leads a dedicated team, establishes policies, manages budgets, and collaborates with leadership to mitigate risks and respond effectively to emergencies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement a comprehensive security strategy aligned with the hospital’s mission and organizational goals.
  • Team Management: Lead, mentor, and supervise security personnel, fostering a culture of accountability and excellence.
  • Policy & Compliance: Create and enforce security policies, procedures, and protocols to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Operational Oversight: Direct all security operations, including physical security, access control, visitor management, and asset protection.
  • Risk Management & Emergency Preparedness: Conduct risk assessments, design emergency response plans, and lead security efforts during critical incidents.
  • Incident Response: Oversee investigations and produce detailed reports for all security-related events.
  • Budget & Resource Management: Develop and manage the annual security budget, ensuring efficient allocation of resources.
  • Cross-Department

    Collaboration:

    Partner with administration, clinical teams, and IT to maintain a coordinated and effective security program.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field;
    Master’s degree preferred.
  • Strong experience in security leadership.
  • Proven ability to develop and implement security strategies, policies, and procedures.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of current security technologies and best practices.
