To add to our esteemed staff, we are seeking an experienced Director of Development for the Seidenberg School Of Computer Science and Information Systems at our New York City (downtown Manhattan) campus.

Responsibilities

The Director of Development, reporting to the Associate VP of Development and Dean of the Seidenberg School of CSIS, will be responsible for overseeing all development activities relating to the promotion and advancement of funding initiatives  Director works closely with the Dean;
Director, Communications and External Relations;
Associate VP for Development; members of the faculty; business community; alumni; college administrators; and staff to identify, cultivate and solicit annual, major and planned gifts from individuals, corporations and foundations for all CSIS projects, programs and fundraising events. In this hybrid role, the Director will coordinate fundraising strategies with the Development and Alumni Relations division, faculty members and other relevant University administrators and staff, to plan and oversee major donor and other special events to promote university-funding initiatives.

Position

Duties
  • Plan, organize and implement a major gift fundraising program for CSIS. Responsible for establishing yearly fundraising goals and strategies to attain those goals.
  • Work closely with the Dean, members of the faculty, college administrators and staff to formulate strategies; identify major gift prospects; and solicit major gifts for CSIS projects and programs.
  • Be responsible to identify, recruit and manage the Seidenberg Innovation Awards event to secure contributed revenue to achieve the agreed upon goals.
  • Be directly responsible for the achievement of assigned goals including individual giving from Seidenberg alumni and friends;
    Innovation Awards event revenue; corporation and foundations gifts; working with opportunities for contributed revenue in support of University objectives.
  • Maintain a portfolio of major gift prospects including individual, corporate and foundations.
  • Serve as a member of the Development group and Dean’s executive staff.
  • Many participate in university-wide and off-campus meetings and functions related to the promotion and advancement of the CSIS and University funding initiatives.
  • Benchmark and produce yearly progress reports for all aspects of CSIS fundraising.
  • Responsible for the identification, cultivation and solicitation of individual prospects for annual, major and planned gifts.
  • Identify and recruit industry leaders and alumni for CSIS Advisory Boards and Staff CSIS Boards, as well as serve as the staff lead for the school Board of Advisors.
  • Oversee the budget for the CSIS development program.
  • Prepare various financial and budget-related reports pertaining to CSIS development program.
  • Coordinate all alumni events with the Development division’s Executive Director of Alumni Relations.
  • Performs other such duties as may be assigned from time to time.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree is required, Master’s degree preferred.
  • At least three years of successful experience in fundraising in a higher education environment preferred.
  • Well versed in the areas of prospect identification and management, personal solicitation, individual, corporation and foundation, stewardship, planned giving, and events management.
  • Must be computer literate.
  • Must possess strong organizational and managerial leadership skills and the ability to work in a team environment.
  • Knowledgeable administrator capable of organizing and delivering services for Pace and supporting a comprehensive institutional advancement program with a high degree of professionalism, sensitivity and integrity.
Salary Range

$100,000 - $120,000 / Year.
