Aviation Snow Supervisor at Metropolitan Airport News
Reporting to the General Manager, the Aviation Supervisor will assist the airport base management team to ensure that services are delivered to customers with the utmost level of safety and quality. This position is responsible for supervising staff, processes, and gaining a complete understanding of snow removal operations. The Supervisor must be available to support snow events whenever they occur.
Compensation
$30.00 - $42.00 Per Hour
Qualifications & Requirements
- Obtain and maintain an Airport Security Badge
- Must have a 4x4/all wheel drive vehicle that is safe to operate in heavy snow and icy conditions
- Proven experience as a supervisor or similar management role
- Computer skills in MS Office
- Excellent organizational, communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
- Self‑motivated with a results‑driven approach
- Strong problem‑solving skills
- A positive can‑do attitude
- Valid driver's license
Job Responsibilities
- Communicate job expectations, planning, monitoring, and appraisal to team members.
- Deliver clear and timely instructions, overseeing work of other employees/contractors to ensure successful completion.
- Maintain workflow by monitoring steps of the process, understanding variables, and facilitating corrections.
- Train new employees on various equipment operation.
- Motivate others to grow and be better, elevating the team.
- Resolve challenges, discrepancies, or miscommunications.
- Maintain quality service by establishing and enforcing organizational standards.
- Communicate effectively at various levels within the organization.
- Ensure operational readiness of equipment by making repairs, evaluating performance.
- Understand various company systems with expectation of continually increasing knowledge.
- Manage daily schedules, track progress of deliverables and repairs, and report progress for base readiness.
- Prepare and present reports on productivity, staffing, effectiveness, and success.
- Participate in recruiting efforts for seasonal and casual team members.
