Position Summary:

This role serves as a senior Client Manager and business development leader focused on growing and managing key public‑sector clients in the NYC Metro region, with primary emphasis on NYCDEP. The position combines strategic client management, pursuit leadership, and oversight of project delivery to support long‑term growth across major capital improvement programs.

The role includes near‑term involvement in select technical and design management assignments to support existing projects and maintain billable engagement while NYC‑focused opportunities are developed. The position also provides senior leadership and mentorship to the NYC office, supporting staff development, retention, and operational excellence.

Essential Job Functions:

Serve as key management, relationship, technical, and delivery role for NYCDEP. We currently have contracts with ongoing task orders with NYCDEP and Rob will manage growing our business with NYCDEP that has an average annual CIP budget of $3B. He will transition into involvement with our current projects to become more familiar with our ongoing work as he further develops his relationship with staff and positions for new opportunities.

Lead key business development activities including annual operating plans, strategic pursuits, client development, staff recruitment, proposal positioning and development, and professional organization activities and involvement.

Lead key pursuits with clients in the NYC Metro area starting with pre‑positioning and staying involved throughout the pursuit and remaining until project closeout. This includes identifying opportunities well in advance of public advertisement and developing a strategy to win. Part of Rob’s responsibilities will be to organize the right teaming partners for each pursuit and negotiate teaming agreements and manage the proposal process.

NYCDEP will be his primary focus along with NYCDDC, MTA, NYSE звезд, NYCEDC, Westchester County, and Rockland County.

Manage project financials, budgets, profit and loss, invoicing, and payment, ensuring optimal project Biggest performance including managing personnel, resources, schedules, and budgets for diverse clients, including municipalities, private firms, and public utilities.

Provide technical expertise on existing IEW projects outside of NYC where he will fulfil the role of Design Manager. Specific existing projects have been identified in Massachusetts, Florida, and Virginia where he can begin work immediately. Over time, it is expected Rob’s role in this regard will be less so that he gains time dedicated to NYC projects, however, this is a current need for IEW and will provide a means for Rob to have billable projects as he develops new work in NYC.
