Through our countless volunteer projects, we also help connect with the communities around us, too. You can do amazing work here. Work you couldn't do anywhere else. It's up to you to make it happen.
What makes Bloomberg unique is that we take a holistic, multi-faceted approach to sustainability. We’re focused on operating our company sustainably and responsibly and offering environmental, social and governance (ESG) data and unique technology solutions that help clients meet their business objectives. We’re also creating tools and developing initiatives to help strengthen the marketplace’s transition toward a low-carbon economy, supporting governments in thinking through the policy role and, through philanthropic endeavors, investing in the sustainability of communities across the world.
We convene multi-disciplinary experts, business and governmental leaders and some of the world’s most influential people to contemplate solutions to tough sustainability challenges. All told, we are helping build the infrastructure for a sustainable future.
Bloomberg’s Global Sustainability Office (GSO) is responsible for the development and execution of Bloomberg’s enterprise-wide sustainability strategy, program implementation, and external reporting. The GSO collaborates across the business under a robust governance structure to set comprehensive ESG-related objectives, targets and action plans that drive the business toward its global sustainability commitments.
What’sThe Role ?

You will view sustainability through a market-driven and regulatory lens while participating in climate scenario analysis and stress testing projects to build organizational resilience. Crucially, you will build strong partnerships with a broad network of internal and external stakeholders, fostering a positive environment of influence to drive momentum, while translating complex concepts into clear presentations for senior management.
We’llTrust You To:
Lead as a Player‑Coach: Guide day-to-day execution for a dedicated 4-person team while providing mentorship, career development, and technical direction.
Drive Enterprise Decarbonization: Own and execute the firm’s enterprise Decarbonization Plan, establishing science-aligned reduction pathways, evaluating operational levers, setting interim milestones, and tracking progress across global business activities.
Cultivate Stakeholder Relationships: Collaborate with a wide range of internal stakeholders (Procurement, Finance, Real Estate, Legal, Risk, Facilities, IT) and external partners, creating a positive environment of influence to inspire cross‑functional alignment and accelerate decarbonization strategies.
