About the Role:

Ready to lead operations at a premier corporate headquarters in the heart of New York City?

CBRE is seeking a Senior Facilities Manager to support the North American headquarters of a leading financial services client, located within a prestigious high-rise office tower in Manhattan. In this highly visible, onsite role, you will oversee facilities operations across multiple occupied floors totaling approximately 250,000 square feet, serving as the primary facilities partner to the client.

Working closely with client leadership, landlords, and property management teams, you'll ensure the workplace operates efficiently while delivering an exceptional employee and guest experience. Responsibilities include managing daily facilities operations, vendor performance, maintenance programs, workplace services, and compliance initiatives.

This role also partners extensively with the Events Management team to support a high volume of onsite meetings, executive visits, and corporate events. Success requires a hospitality-focused approach, strong relationship-building skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced headquarters environment.

This is more than facilities management. It's an opportunity to lead operations for one of the client's most important locations, helping create a seamless, best-in-class workplace experience for employees, visitors, and senior leadership.

What You’ll Do:
  • Lead and coordinate facility repairs and maintenance by partnering with technicians, vendors, and contractors to ensure timely and high-quality service.
  • Foster strong client relationships through proactive communication and regular meetings to address and resolve facility-related concerns.
  • Plan, prepare, and manage large-scale and high-profile capital projects, operating budgets, and variance reports with precision and strategic oversight.
  • Conduct facility inspections and ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, maintaining high standards of quality assurance.
  • Identify opportunities for operational improvements, repairs, and upgrades, and implement solutions that enhance efficiency and performance.
  • Develop and enforce environmental health and safety procedures tailored to each facility’s needs.
  • Build and maintain vendor relationships, oversee invoicing processes, and review and approve purchase orders for parts, services, and labor.
  • Apply broad business and technical knowledge to align facilities operations with departmental goals and cross-functional initiatives.
  • Provide formal supervision to staff, including performance evaluations, coaching, training, and development planning.
  • Manage daily team operations by setting work schedules, assigning tasks, cross-training staff, and tracking departmental deadlines.
  • Serve as a mentor and role model, promoting CBRE’s RISE values and influencing others through leadership and collaboration.
  • Solve complex technical and operational challenges with a strategic and solutions-oriented mindset.
  • Recognize and address the broader impact of decisions across the department, driving continuous improvement in methods, processes, and standards.
What You’ll Need:
  • Bachelor's degree preferred with 5-8 years of facilities management, corporate real estate, workplace operations, or related experience; a combination of education and experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • Experience managing facilities operations within a large corporate office environment, headquarters location, Class A office building, or financial services setting preferred.
  • Facility Management certification (e.g., IFMA, BOMA, FMP, SFP, CFM) preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience managing operating budgets, forecasting, accruals, variance reporting, and cost-control initiatives.
  • Proven success…
