Maintenance Mechanic

Join our team at one of the region’s leading dairy cooperatives! We’re currently hiring a full-time Maintenance Mechanicfor Second Shift (3:00 PM – 11:00 PM) and Third Shift (11:00 PM – 7:00 AM) at our Chateaugay, NY facility.

As a Maintenance Mechanic, you’ll be responsible for the general upkeep, repair, and troubleshooting of plant equipment and systems. You’ll play a key role in ensuring our operations run smoothly and efficiently.

You’ll work across several core maintenance functions, including:

• Electrical and electronic systems

• Industrial plumbing (copper, black iron)

• Mechanical repair and preventative maintenance

• Welding (Stick, TIG – stainless, aluminum, sanitary piping)

• Hydraulics and pneumatics

• Refrigeration and HVAC

• Machine shop/millwright work

This is a hands-on role requiring flexibility. Team members must be available for overtime, weekends, holidays, and occasional shift rotations, as needed by the operation.

• Proven experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment

• Strong troubleshooting skills and a track record of making timely, safe, and accurate repairs

• Solid working knowledge of motors, gearboxes, pumps, pneumatic and hydraulic systems

• Commitment to workplace safety and safe work practices

• A collaborative mindset with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team

• Industrial electrical and welding experience strongly preferred
