Our client is an expanding manufacturing company looking to add a Sanitation Manager to their team to develop new sanitation policies and procedures. This position will be responsible for building and implementing a comprehensive corporate sanitation program. What we are looking for you to do:
- Maintain good housekeeping standards while ensuring full compliance of GMPs, SOPs and other company standards.
- Design and implement a corporate sanitation program.
- Partner with manufacturing plants to develop effective Master Sanitation Schedules and SSOPs.
- Will be responsible for supervising non routine cleaning assignments and leading corporate contracts with sanitation and pest control vendors.
- Mentor, motivate and lead employees, through organized training and development, job performance, recognition, counselling and disciplinary actions.
- Design criteria to validate SSOPs and build the sanitation verification plan, track KPI's to ensure continued improvement and compliance with the program.
- Direct training coordinators to ensure SSOPs are appropriately interpreted into the training program and include all safety precautions and validation.
- Plan, manage and direct the plant sanitation procedures and programs.
- Ensure all personnel understand the principals of sanitation through direct training and teaching facility personnel, develop programs training sanitation principals.
- Provide input to Engineering and Maintenance teams on sanitary design, maintenance practices and equipment installation practices.
- Adjust program as needed when verification & validation activities demonstrate improvements are needed.
- Develop and communicate business plans and goals for the sanitation department.
The experience we are looking for:
- 5+ years Sanitation Manager experience in the food manufacturing sector required.
- BA Food Science or related discipline required.
