Design and carry out production facility automation

• 1 - Study and perform the automation of Special Machines, Validation means, Tools and other resources and help to develop them at the workshop and in Mecaplast group units
  • Ensure the automation of facilities, in compliance with specific and general specifications and based on the automation process of a project
  • Validate wiring diagrams (produced internally or by subcontractors)
  • Work with the Design Office to define the technical and functional resource design
  • Help machine technicians to develop Product/Process in the workshop and/or in Mecaplast group production units
  • Perform site back-ups
  • Update diagrams
  • Determine machine capacity
  • Manage Poka-yoke tests
• 2 - Research and optimise new techniques and technologies to improve the different Production means in terms of functionality, cost, reliability, deadlines, quality and safety
  • Conduct the technological watch in his/her field of expertise
• 3 - Analyse the economic incidence and deadlines of technical developments adopted
  • Gather technical requirements from the different production unit departments prior to each start-up on site and ask his/her line manager to approve these requirements prior to their implementation
  • Contribute to continuous improvement by capitalising on and sharing feedback at the end of a project
  • Notify his/her line manager in the event of a deviation.

• Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent. Trade School Degree of five years or more proven experience desired.

  • Must be an independent thinker and a problem solver.
