Tool Crib Attendant Apopka, FL

Receives, stores, maintains and issues hand tools, machine tools, cutting tools, and general industrial equipment in a contract machining establishment by performing the following duties.

• Receive, store, set up, and issue cutting tools, hand tools, fixtures, etc. in a machine shop.
• Maintain inventory levels within the computer system.
• Set up tools based on Toollist and Setup sheets.
• Issue tools and assist machinists as they need assistance.
• Create job boxes for new jobs. Label fixturing and update computer files.
• Inspect and measure tools for defects and wear, using micrometers, visual and/or vision systems, etc.

• Knowledge of cutting tools (e.g., endmills, drills, taps, inserts, turning tools, etc.).
• Knowledge of cutting tool geometries, grades, coatings, tool holders, etc.
• Excellent organizational skills.
• Able to work with and communicate with other employees and maintain a positive attitude.
• Grinding experience is a plus.

• Lifting, pulling, walking, and sitting.
• Must be able to lift at least 30 pounds.

• Two to four years’ related experience and/or training.
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.

OT Friday 6:00am-2:30pm (When needed)

Salary based on experience and skill level
