Job DescriptionAs a Manufacturing Engineer specializing in new product development, you will be directly involved in designing, optimizing, and implementing manufacturing processes for innovative products. You will collaborate with cross‑functional teams to translate product designs into efficient, high‑quality production methods while ensuring alignment with safety, quality, delivery, and cost (SQDC) priorities. In this role, you will drive process improvements, troubleshoot manufacturing challenges, and contribute to the successful launch of new products.
You will also develop and refine workflows, use data‑driven approaches to enhance efficiency, and ensure compliance with industry standards.
- Lead the development and implementation of manufacturing processes for new products and technologies from bid and proposal through hand‑off to production.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams, including Design, Quality, and Supply Chain, to ensure manufacturability and quality of new products.
- Develop and optimize manufacturing processes to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and ensure safety and quality.
- Conduct feasibility studies and risk assessments for new manufacturing technologies and processes.
- Create and maintain detailed process documentation, including work instructions, SOPs, process flow diagrams, etc., supporting APQP.
- Utilize Lean manufacturing principles to drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Provide technical support and training to manufacturing personnel.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant safety and regulatory requirements.
- Participate in design reviews and lead manufacturing reviews to provide feedback on manufacturability and process improvements.
- Lead root cause analysis (RCA) and corrective action activities for manufacturing issues.
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma/GED with at least 4 years of manufacturing experience).
- 2+ years of experience in Manufacturing Engineering, Process Engineering, or Industrial Engineering.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, quality control principles, and Lean manufacturing principles and tools (e.g., Kaizen, Standard Work, Hoshin Kanri).
- Experience with statistical process control (SPC) and root cause analysis techniques.
- Familiarity with CAD software, ERP systems, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including effective collaboration with cross‑functional teams.
The base pay range for this position is $64,600 – $78,000. The specific pay offered may be influenced by experience, education, and skill set. This posting is expected to close on January 31, 2026.
