Job Summary
The Fiber Extrusion Supervisor is responsible for achieving the production goals of the assigned department. The Fiber Extrusion Supervisor is responsible for managing the day-to-day activities and overseeing personnel of the department.
Rotating 24/7 work schedule for Group B Nights will reflect a weekday rotation of:
5pm – 5am Week 1 Friday – Sunday;
Off Monday – Thursday
Applicants can expect a base compensation range of $34.00 - $36.00 per hour with at least a 10% shift differential. This is the reasonable estimate for this job based on applicable circumstances at the time of posting. Pay could be more or less than the posted range as permitted by law, and commensurate with the applicant’s experience, qualifications, and geographical location.
Youwill make a difference in the following ways:
- Oversees, assists, and manages operations of assigned department, providing progress updates to Fiber Value Stream Manager.
- Maintains and fosters a continuous improvement environment through Lean Principles and constant evaluation of current processes while adhering to quality standards.
- Provides strong leadership to department personnel through hands on involvement as a “working” supervisor when needed.
- Determines work assignments and establishes priorities for personnel of assigned department.
- Builds and maintains a highly motivated and flexible workforce that is cross trained on all equipment.
- Provides on-the-job training as needed to ensure quality production and properly orients and trains new hires.
- Communicates job expectations to employees, monitors, and appraises employee performance to reduce department turnover.
- Monitors overall employee performance using the corrective action process when needed.
- Tracks employee absenteeism and reviews payroll records to verify hours worked.
- Performs annual employee performance appraisals.
- Serves as an active participant of the Emergency Responder Team, having full knowledge of the facility.
- Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite and SAP.
- Sound judgement in solving problems independently.
- Strong organization skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities concurrently while working in a fast-paced, high-volume work environment.
- Ability to analyse and solve problems to support continuous improvement.
- Education & Experience: Bachelor’s degree with a focus on Business or Engineering. Alternatively, a 2-year technical degree with relevant experience.
- Knowledge: Minimum 5 years of experience working in a high-volume production environment. Minimum 3 years of prior supervisor experience. Strong knowledge of production methods.

Knowledge of Lean MFG Principles.
