- Support and contribute to a healthy and safe work environment following all workplace regulations, policies, and initiatives, including reporting all first aid injuries, accidents, and workplace hazards.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable PPE and Food Safety policies and procedures, wear steel tipped shoes, hearing protection, safety glasses, hairnets, beard nets, etc.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Ensure proper job segregation to the appropriate order.
- Gather, organize, and layout tools, supplies, and equipment.
- Prepare and label boxes.
- Stage, load, and thread material onto the equipment.
- Prepare and install machine tooling (Teflon, rubber, etc.)
- Feed and replenish auxiliary supplies such as hangers, zippers, etc.
- Monitor quality (dimension, cut position, seals, perforation, zipper, glue, etc.)
- Prepare documentation as required.
- Perform minor machine and tooling adjustments.
Other tasks as assigned to perform QA tests, pack, label and transport bags.
Qualifications- Reading and writing skills corresponding to the level of High School Diploma or equivalent.
- 1 to 3 years previous experience as a Bag Machine Helper I.
- Ability to use hand tools and measuring instruments.
- Ability to read and understand work orders.
- Ability to distinguish between color matches through visual inspection.
- Ability to perform calculations involving decimals and fractions.
- Ability to read a ruler.
- Mechanical aptitude.
- Customer oriented.
