Avon, NY | $20.00 – $28.00/hr (DOE) | Full-Time | ❄️ Air-Conditioned Shop

Tool & Machine, Inc. is a family-owned precision manufacturer with 50+ years of experience producing close-tolerance CNC components, fabrications, and assemblies for aerospace, oil & gas, automotive, electrical, and medical industries. Our shop is 100% Mazak-equipped, climate-controlled, and built for long-term careers in machining.
We are seeking a motivated CNC Mill Set-Up Operator to join our team on day shift.
What You’ll Do
Set up and operate CNC milling machines for precision production
Load, unload, and deburr machined parts
Perform first article inspections and ensure compliance with blueprint and GD&T requirements
Create and follow set-up documents for assigned jobs
Select tooling from approved lists and ensure optimal performance
Meet production goals in terms of quality, cycle time, and throughput
Follow ISO standards and practice Lean 6S manufacturing principles
Maintain a safe work environment and use proper PPE at all times
What We’re Looking For
High School Diploma or GED
Minimum of 1 year of CNC milling experience
Basic blueprint reading and inspection skills
Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail
Ability to lift up to 35 lbs and stand/walk for long periods
Good communication skills and ability to follow instructions
Pay & Schedule
Pay Range: $20.00 – $28.00/hour (based on experience)
Schedule:
Monday–Thursday 6:00 AM – 3:30 PM;
Friday 6:00 AM – 10:00 AM
Shift: Day shift in a climate-controlled shop
