LOCATION: This role will be based in Macedon, NY.
SHIFT: This opening is for 3rd shift (Monday-Friday 12AM-8:30AM)
What We Need
The Bulk Unloader is responsible for scheduling and receiving bulk ingredients that meet established quality standards and supply production floor with quality bulk ingredients. Works closely with the production planning team to order bulk ingredients to support the production schedule, monitors bulk tanks and reschedules as needed.
What You Will Do
- Performs in-house testing, following standard operating procedures, to accurately verify that the product meets specifications and quality standards.
- Following the EUP for unloading materials, ensures all materials are loaded into the correct tanks by double checking all paperwork and verifying the accurate use of the inbound hookups.
- Works with production planning team, the production team, and the inventory control team on a regular basis to order, schedule and reschedule bulk materials to ensure their availability in order to accommodate the production schedule.
- Monitors and records daily bulk tank levels and coordinates needed CIPs with the sanitation team.
- Provides backup to the other Production teams when not performing bulk unloading activities.
- Following the appropriate EUPs, enters receipts and analytical data obtained from the bulk testing, into SAP-- Insuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Monitors Tanks & Pumps conditions, places work orders with maintenance if repairs are needed.
- Be aware of UV’s & Filters, change filters as required, and brings any issues to maintenance attention.
- Always keeps the outdoor areas and bulk areas clean and audit ready as evidenced by plant quality audit results.
- ≥95% GMP audit results for the Bulk Unloading area.
- Timely identification of equipment repair needs and submission of repair tickets as necessary.
- Effective communications to the maintenance team any issues that are observed.
- Maintenance of the Bulk Unloading area as demonstrated by the Food Safety Audit results for the area.
- High school diploma or equivalent and 1 year of shipping/receiving related experience is required. Equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
- Experience working with scales, PLCs, ultrasonic level gauges, pumps & analytical data testing instruments is strongly preferred .
- Basic computer literacy using MS Excel, Word & Outlook
- Ability to regularly lift/move up to 100 pounds and push/pull up to 200 pounds.
