Job Description

We are seeking a skilled CNC Machinist to join our dynamic manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in CNC programming, machining, and precision measurement. This role involves operating CNC lathes and milling machines to produce high-quality components while adhering to strict specifications and tolerances. This will be a Direct Hire Position.

Compensation: $20.00-$33.00

Schedule:

3:30 PM-2:00 AM – Monday-Friday with potential for voluntary and occasional mandatory weekends.

Responsibilities
  • Review work orders, blueprints, engineering plans, materials, specifications, locations of surfaces, and machining parameters; stock inventory by checking stock to determine the amount available; anticipating needed stock; placing and expediting orders for stock; verifying receipt of stock.
  • Program lathes by entering instructions, including zero and reference points; setting tool registers, offsets, compensation, and conditional switches; calculating requirements, including basic math, geometry, and trigonometry; proving part programs.
  • Set up lathes by installing and adjusting three- and four-jaw chucks, tools, attachments, collets, bushings, cams, gears, stops, and stock pushers; indicating vices; trimming heads.
  • Verify settings by measuring positions, first-run parts, and sample work pieces, adhering to international standards. Maintain specifications by observing drilling, grooving, and cutting, including turning, facing, knurling, and thread chasing operations; taking measurements; detecting malfunctions; troubleshooting processes; adjusting and reprogramming controls; sharpening and replacing worn tools; adhering to quality assurance procedures and processes.
  • Maintain safe operations by adhering to safety procedures, regulations, and plant safety.
  • Maintain equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements.
  • Document actions by completing production and quality logs.
  • Account for time and work completed via the online computer data collection system.
