In this role, you will be a key contributor to the success of the materials team, actively driving operational excellence through hands‑on execution and cross‑functional collaboration. This role requiresesses a dynamic professional who applies deep expertise in Receiving, Shipping, Inventory Control, and Purchasing to coordinate, streamline, and enhance material flow across all departments.

This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

This position reports to the Warehouse Supervisor. This role is onsite and is based in Blauvelt-five NY.

Primary

Job Duties and Responsibilities
  • Bin, palletize, and repackage inventory to ensure proper storage and handling.
  • Protect inventory from damage, corrosion, and deterioration.
  • Maintain inventory levels through part rotation, bin restocking, and replenishment.
  • Inspect inventory and storage areas for accuracy and condition.
  • Perform cycle counts and support inventory reconciliation.
  • Maintain accurate records of inventory locations and system stock levels.
  • Update inventory data in ERP systems and manage computer changes to inventory items.
  • Design and maintain inventory layout, labeling, and locating systems.
  • Liase with inventory control to determine appropriate minimum/maximum levels.
  • Execute kanban ordering and inventory replenishment processes.
  • Work closely with accounting to resolve receiving and shipping discrepancies.
  • Coordinate with sales administration to address order‑related issues.
  • Support and promote 5S initiatives to maintain a clean, organized, and efficient work environment.
  • * Assume responsibility for other projects and duties as assigned by the Warehouse Supervisor or Company management.

Required Qualifications
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); must have forklift certification.
    2+ years of hands‑on experience in material handling, including receiving, shipping, inventory control.
  • Understanding of and adherence to applicable laws, codes, policies, regulations, and safety practices and procedures, as applicable.
  • Must successfully establish employment eligibility and satisfactorily complete background checks, including drug screen, and required pre‑employment testing as a condition of employment.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Familiarity with Kanban, Lean.
  • Strong analytical skills and proficiency in Microsoft Suite.
