Non-Exempt About the Position Community Metal Works is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Press Brake Operator – Tier 1 to join our manufacturing  this role, you will be responsible for setting up and operating a press brake to form sheet-metal parts according to production requirements, engineering drawings, and established specifications. This is a great opportunity for someone with manufacturing experience, strong mechanical aptitude, and an eye for accuracy who is looking to continue developing their skills in metal fabrication.

Machine Operator
- Tier 1 - Pre…What You’ll DoAs a Press Brake Operator, your responsibilities will include:

Set tools and dies on the press brake according to work order instructions.

Retrieve and review engineering drawings through the ERP system.

Retrieve raw materials from stock as required for each job.

Retrieve bend programs using the machine control panel.

Perform bending operations according to machine programs and production specifications.

Record labor hours and materials used by job in the ERP system.

Perform basic in-process dimensional inspections to ensure parts meet required tolerances.

Complete production orders according to the production schedule.

Assist with additional production activities, including packing and deburring, as needed.

What We’re Looking For High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.

At least 1 year of experience in a manufacturing environment; metal parts manufacturing experience is preferred.

Good mechanical aptitude and comfort working with machines and tools.

Ability to properly use calipers and tape measures to check part dimensions.

Ability to perform basic arithmetic to calculate tolerance ranges.

Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow procedures and work instructions.

Ability to work effectively in a production/manufacturing environment. Machine Operator

Regularly stand for extended periods.

Walk, reach, stoop, kneel, and crouch as needed.

Regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
