Machine Operator – Temp-to-Hire

Machine Operator
for a
temp-to-hire opportunity in Valley Cottage, NY
.

This is a great opportunity for someone with
machine operation, metal fabrication, mechanical, or hands-on production experience
who is looking for a long-term position with a growing company.

You do not need to have experience with every machine or responsibility listed below.

Position:Machine Operator
Location:Valley Cottage, NY
Pay:$19–$23/hour, based on experience
Schedule:Monday–Friday, 7:30 AM–4:00 PM
Overtime:Potential OT available
Job Type:Temp-to-hire for the right candidate

What You'll Do

Operate and set up various machines used in production and fabrication.
Set up and operate a knee mill/Bridgeport machine.
Read and work from engineering drawings and blueprints.
Assist with welding, drilling, assembly, and fabrication projects.
Create and use basic tools, fixtures, and jigs to help with production.
Operate equipment such as presses, punches, and dies.
Work closely with production and engineering teams to maintain quality and improve processes.
Troubleshoot basic mechanical issues and make adjustments as needed.
Maintain a clean and safe work area and follow all safety procedures.

What We're Looking For

Previous experience in
machine operation, metal fabrication, manufacturing, production, or a related hands-on field
preferred.
Strong mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn.
Ability to read blueprints or technical drawings is a plus.
Experience with a Bridgeport/knee mill is a plus, but
not required if you have related mechanical or machine experience.
AutoCAD experience is a plus, but not required.
Reliable, hardworking, and dependable.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.

Pay Details: $19.00 to $21.00 per hour
