Responsibilitiesonsemi is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Production Planning Engineering Intern to join our manufacturing operations team. In this role, you will work alongside production planning, operations, and engineering teams to support factory performance through data analysis, production monitoring, and continuous improvement initiatives. You will gain hands-on experience in semiconductor manufacturing while helping optimize production flow, reduce cycle times, and improve operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Support production planning activities by monitoring work-in-process (WIP) movement and manufacturing line performance.
- Assist in prioritizing production lots based on operational needs, tool availability, and production targets.
- Analyze production data to identify bottlenecks, throughput constraints, and opportunities for cycle time reduction.
- Collaborate with Production Planning Engineers and Shift Operations teams to support daily factory execution.
- Develop reports, dashboards, and visualizations to track key manufacturing performance metrics.
- Monitor fab health indicators such as queue lengths, WIP aging, tool utilization, and production output.
- Support the creation of daily and weekly operational reports and presentations for manufacturing leadership.
- Participate in continuous improvement projects focused on enhancing factory efficiency, line flow, and dispatch effectiveness.
- Work with cross-functional teams including Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, Process Engineering, and Operations to solve production challenges.
Qualifications – External
