We’re looking for an experienced Product Development Manager to own the product development lifecycle from initial ideation and collection planning through sign-off-ready garment.
This is a highly organized, project-management-focused role for someone with strong garment and product development knowledge. You’ll maintain the system of record, own the development calendar, and keep Design, Technical Design, Fabric, Production, and the sample room moving together.
Key Responsibilities:- Own the development calendar, including styles, sample rounds, fit dates, fabric and trim commitments, and factory milestones.
- Maintain the system of record in PLM or expert-level Excel/Google Sheets.
- Manage trim and hardware organization, including libraries, sourcing status, approvals, and allocation by style.
- Manage version control across tech packs, specs, and sample rounds.
- Track key decisions needed from Design and present information clearly to keep meetings efficient.
- Run the development cadence by following up on inputs, flagging delays early, and driving decisions to closure.
- Partner closely with the Production Manager on the handoff from development into production.
- Coordinate across Design, Technical Design, Fabric, Production, and the sample room.
- Keep development organized, accurate, and moving against deadlines.
- 4+ years of Product Development or Production Coordination experience within a design-led contemporary or luxury brand.
- Strong knowledge of tech packs, BOMs, and T&A calendars.
- Experience owning and maintaining development calendars.
- Strong understanding of the apparel development lifecycle.
- Highly organized and detail-oriented.
- Comfortable managing multiple styles, sample rounds, deadlines, and cross-functional priorities.
- Strong follow-up and project-management skills.
- Self-starter with a start-up mentality.
- Comfortable owning the detailed day-to-day work required to keep product development moving.
