Material Handler; Starlink​/Akoustis

Our work helps further the impact that Starlink is already making on millions of users around the world, while allowing us to broaden that reach dramatically and continue connecting the unconnected here on earth.

This position supports RF filter production for SpaceX's Starlink satellite internet constellation and growing defense communications portfolio. An Akoustis Material Handler ensures parts are in the right place at the right time to ensure smooth production operations of high-quality devices in a cleanroom environment.

• Support production with the movement of parts to support master schedule
• Physically move and expedite materials when required in support of production/engineering and meet work order completion dates
• Verifyall materials are packaged and banded for transport, and assist with loading and unloading of trucks
• Interface with receiving, quality control, purchasing and other related departments to resolve problems relative to receipt and distribution of material
• Operate material handling equipment including but not limited to: forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand carts

• High school diploma or equivalency certificate
• 1+ years of expediting/material handling experience
• Experience operating a forklift and pallet jack

• Experience working within a manufacturing/production environment
• Experience with barcode scanning to document material movement

• Lifting, standing, climbing, bending, grasping, sitting, pulling, pushing, stooping, stretching, and carrying are generally required to perform the functions of this position
• Ability to lift up to 25 lbs. unassisted
• This position is 100% onsite at our Canandaigua, NY facility
• Due to the facility transitioning to 24/7 operations, the work schedule for this position will evolve after training:
• You will start with standard daytime hours during training: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (Monday – Friday)
• A-Shift: 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM (Sunday
  - Tuesday and every other Wednesday)
• B-Shift: 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM (Thursday
  - Saturday and every other Wednesday)
• C-Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM (Sunday
  - Tuesday and every other Wednesday) – eligible for 15% shift differential
• D-Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM (Thursday
  - Saturday and every other Wednesday) – eligible for 15% shift differential

Pay range:

Material Handler: $20.00 - $28.50/hour

Your actual level and base salary will be determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on the following considerations: job-related knowledge and skills, education, and experience.
