Shop Manager

We are a family-owned upholstery and window treatment company with over 35 years in business, is looking for an experienced Shop Manager to work closely with the owner and oversee our Brooklyn production shop.. . We are looking for someone with strong, hands‑on industry experience who understands the complete production process and can oversee employees, production, and quality control.. . Responsibilities.

• Manage and oversee shop employees and daily production.
• Assign jobs and make sure projects stay on schedule.
• Take responsibility for making sure every order is completed correctly, according to the customer's specifications.
• Inspect work throughout the production process and before jobs leave the shop-.
• Maintain high-quality standards and ensure work is done properly the first time.
• Troubleshoot production issues and make sure problems are corrected.
• Coordinate with our showroom and office on project requirements.
• Train, guide, and hold employees accountable.
• Work closely with the owner to manage the overall shop.

The ideal candidate should understand how these jobs are made from start to finish, be able to recognize quality workmanship, troubleshoot problems, and effectively manage a team of skilled employees. Most importantly, this person must be willing to take ownership of the production process and be accountable for making sure orders are done correctly, on time, and to Bettertex's standards.. .

Full-time position. Competitive salary based on experience.. .

Schedule: Monday-Friday 930am-6pm
Salary: $17 – $60 hourly
