Manufacturing ​/ Production Technician, Production QC​/QA

Our client, a leading manufacturing organization specializing in electronic components, is seeking a Technician 3, SMT Operator to join their team. As a Test Technician, you will be part of the manufacturing department supporting production operations. The ideal candidate will demonstrate attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and a proactive attitude, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Technician 3, SMT Operator

Location: Lockport, NY

Pay Range:$26-$35/hr

Shift: 7am - 3:30pm, Monday through Friday

• Operate Surface Mount Technology (SMT) automated pick and place equipment to manufacture PC Boards according to production schedules and standards.

• Perform periodic clean-up and routine maintenance on machinery to ensure optimal performance.

• Read and interpret assembly prints, schematics, work instructions, and specifications to accurately set up and operate equipment.

• Participate in troubleshooting and problem-solving activities to maintain high quality and efficiency.

• Keep detailed and accurate records of production activities and machine maintenance.

• Ability to perform basic reading, writing, and math functions.

• Experience with reading blueprints, schematics, work instructions, and BOMs.

• Familiarity with IPC standards and ESD precautions.

• Ability to recognize process or component issues and resolve problems promptly.

• Good hand-eye coordination and ability to stand for extended periods.
