Manufacturing Time Study Analyst – Entry Level

CAEtech is seeking a Manufacturing Time Study Analyst – Entry Level for a full-time contract position with benefits supporting manufacturing operations in Horseheads, New York.

The work schedule is 8:00 AM–5:00 PM in Horseheads, New York. The assignment is expected to last up to 12 months
.

This entry-level position will support manufacturing capacity and process-improvement initiatives by observing and recording production operations, conducting time studies, documenting process steps and organizing operational data in Excel. The resulting information will be used to develop manufacturing routings and support capacity modeling as the operation prepares for future growth.

• Observe manufacturing operations and conduct time studies on existing processes and products.
• Use video equipment to record operators performing manufacturing tasks for process analysis.
• Document individual process steps and operation times.
• Enter and organize time-study and routing information in Microsoft Excel.
• Prepare data for use in manufacturing capacity-modeling tools.
• Gather and organize production and workflow data.
• Support development of manufacturing routings and capacity calculations.
• Assist with workflow analysis and process-optimization activities.
• Update process documentation, work instructions and project records.
• Collaborate with manufacturing personnel to understand process flow and accurately document operations.
• Support continuous-improvement and operational-excellence initiatives.
• Assist with other entry-level manufacturing and process-improvement projects as needed.

• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

This is an entry-level opportunity with flexible educational requirements
. Candidates may include:

• Recent university graduates.
• Students currently pursuing an engineering, manufacturing, operations, business or related degree.
• Candidates with an associate degree or one to two years of university education.
• Candidates from any engineering discipline.
• Candidates without a college degree who have relevant process-documentation, data-management or process-improvement experience.

Prior manufacturing experience is not required
. Candidates with process documentation, document management or process-improvement experience may also qualify.

This position is particularly well suited for students, recent graduates and early-career candidates interested in gaining practical manufacturing and industrial-engineering experience.
