Location: City of Lockport
Our client, a leading manufacturing organization specializing in electronic components, is seeking a Technician 3, SMT Operator to join their team. As a Test Technician, you will be part of the manufacturing department supporting production operations. The ideal candidate will demonstrate attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and a proactive attitude, which will align successfully in the organization.
Location: Lockport, NY
Pay Range:$26-$35/hr
Shift: 7am - 3:30pm, Monday through Friday
What's the Job?- Operate Surface Mount Technology (SMT) automated pick and place equipment to manufacture PC Boards according to production schedules and standards.
- Perform periodic clean-up and routine maintenance on machinery to ensure optimal performance.
- Read and interpret assembly prints, schematics, work instructions, and specifications to accurately set up and operate equipment.
- Participate in troubleshooting and problem-solving activities to maintain high quality and efficiency.
- Keep detailed and accurate records of production activities and machine maintenance.
- Ability to perform basic reading, writing, and math functions.
- Experience with reading blueprints, schematics, work instructions, and BOMs.
- Familiarity with IPC standards and ESD precautions.
- Ability to recognize process or component issues and resolve problems promptly.
- Good hand-eye coordination and ability to stand for extended periods.
