Entry-Level CNC Equipment Technician & Apprentice Machinist

Picture your first week in Ontario, NY: you arrive at our shop, review the day’s production schedule, and get hands-on with CNC mills and lathes. You’ll check fluids, swap filters, tighten fasteners, and make sure the equipment is ready to run. As parts come off the machines, you’ll deburr, finish, and verify they meet quality expectations. You’ll shadow experienced machinists to learn setups and gradually take on more CNC operation responsibility—growing your skills one shift at a time.

What You’ll Do (Day-to-Day)
Perform routine maintenance on CNC mills, lathes, and related shop equipment to keep production moving.

Deburr, surface-finish, and clean machined components to meet quality standards.

Operate CNC machines and progressively learn setup under the guidance of veteran machinists.

Troubleshoot straightforward mechanical issues to reduce downtime.

Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
