About Client Services

The Client Services team focuses on growing business from current clients through enhanced customer satisfaction and improved advertising campaign performance. The team works with some of the largest brands and agencies by helping them capitalize on programmatic advertising. Client Services offers a stellar career path for those interested in the data‑driven side of marketing. Account Management positions guide clients through The Trade Desk platform and drive value‑added services while encouraging feature adoption.

Trading positions analyze data to make optimization recommendations based on insights and advanced capabilities. Both roles work together to provide the highest level of customer service in the industry, helping maintain a client retention rate of over 95% for the past decade.

Training Program

The Client Services department is looking for data‑driven students who have a passion for media and advertising. Graduating students will be hired as a Client Service Associate and placed in a three‑month training program where they learn programmatic advertising benefits, platform capabilities, company culture, and the structure of Client Services. After completing the training program, individuals will be assigned to an Account Coordinator or Trading Analyst position and placed into a client group to provide support for a specific book of business.

Cohort start dates:
February and July 2026.

Locations

Chicago, Detroit, Los Angeles, and New York City.

Who you are:
  • Pursuing a bachelor’s degree from a four‑year university with an expected graduation between Spring 2025 and Spring 2026. Related coursework in advertising, media, analytics, marketing, and/or data science preferred.
  • Only students available to start full‑time in January or July 2026 will be considered.
  • Interest in technology and advertising with the ability to learn quickly.
  • Ability to collaborate with others, communicate effectively in writing and in person, project confidence while speaking in groups, and show humility when learning from others.
  • Ability to learn Excel and MS Office, including pivot tables, chart‑making, and manipulation of large data sets.
  • Outstanding analytical and problem‑solving abilities along with an ability to collaborate cross‑functionally in a fast‑paced work environment.
  • Effective time‑management skills with the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.
  • Applicants must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S. The Trade Desk is unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment Visa at this time.
Compensation and Benefits (for NY, CO, CA, and WA residents only)

Base salary for this role is in the range of $65,000 - $70,000. The range is the Trade Desk’s reasonable estimate of base compensation and actual amounts may differ based on non‑discriminatory factors such as experience, skills, and location. Employees may be eligible to become shareholders through stock‑based compensation grants based on company and individual performance. Other compensation may include sales‑based incentives and commissions.
