Description
PURPLE is looking for an experienced Account Manager for its Fashion division to join the agency. This role will support the assigned Account Director in developing and executing strategies to generate maximum brand exposure through creative product placement, profile features, and launches. The Account Manager must have a genuine passion for developing brands, use initiative to achieve exceptional results, have impeccable client liaison skills, and maintain an established network of key contacts (brands and press).

Key Responsibilities
- Media networking and liaison across relevant beats; maintain strong relationships with media through regular one-to-one appointments and meetings.
- Execute media relations plans, including outreach, message development, event management, media familiarisation trips, pitching, training of spokespersons, and pitching local, regional, and national stories.
- Conduct competitive media research and analysis.
- Participate in the creation of communications plans and strategies.
- Navigating partnership and collaboration opportunities.
- Lead event logistics.
- Oversee development of weekly and monthly media reports for clients.
- Support Account Directors on communication with all clients, building rapport and credibility based on trust and expert counsel.
- Manage all product-related media requests from inquiry to coverage.
- Monitor media across clients and competitors.
- Produce high-quality internal and external communications content.
- Compile weekly client agendas.
- Pitch story ideas to achieve maximum editorial placement.
- Manage and motivate junior team members, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations and PR results, supporting their growth.
- Support senior team members to ensure maximum support across all levels.
- Understand paid, owned and earned media strategies; develop relationships with top influencers.
- Maintain strong connections with leading and emerging editorial talents in the UK and Europe.
- Manage Junior Account Executive/Account Executive to reach personal and team targets.
- Contribute to agency new business efforts: create proposals and participate in pitches.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
- Proven experience in a senior position within the fashion industry.
- Commercial experience working in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience in management.
- Track record of creating positive business impact through PR strategy implementation.
- Discreet, professional and well-spoken with excellent communication skills.
- Highly organized, methodical, efficient with common sense and initiative.
- Pro-active, able to propose ideas to promote PURPLE offering.
- Creative and strategic thinker.
- Strong established fashion press contacts.
- International press contacts are desirable.
- Strong experience in event management.
- Excellent presentation and writing skills.
- Ability to identify communication opportunities across multiple media platforms.
- Strong Microsoft Word skills; working knowledge of PowerPoint and Excel.
